Michael Song

Two Decades of Art, Industry, and Influence.

The work of Michael Song exists at the intersection of classical fine art and high-utility design. A BFA graduate of the USC Roski School of Fine Arts, Michael has spent over 20 years refining a creative practice built on technical precision and massive scale. His career began with a heavy immersion in graphic design and print production, providing him with a sophisticated understanding of how art translates from the digital screen to physical media.

As his practice evolved, Michael moved away from the desktop to become deeply immersed in fine art painting and art creation. This era was defined by a transition to large-scale gallery work and complex physical builds, where he honed the ability to manipulate environments with imagery and design. It was during this progression into commercial art he also integrated the discipline of tattooing into his repertoire. Across both the canvas and the skin, his personal work is deeply rooted in Asian and Eastern-influenced art, utilizing traditional motifs to bring a signature level of detail, symbolism, and permanence to his portfolio.

Today, Michael leads EKIMart Studio as a master of scale, translating original concepts into immersive environments and premium physical products.
